AI-Native Intelligence Engine for Mechanical & Electrical Drawings

A multimodal AI system purpose-built to parse, interpret and validate complex M&E construction documents using OCR, computer vision and reasoning models.

OCR + Computer Vision + AI

How it Works

Advanced OCR Optimized for Engineering Documents

We have built a custom OCR pipeline engineered to deliver high-accuracy text capture even in the most challenging sheet conditions, including dense technical notation, rotated or low-contrast text, layered CAD outputs, and complex tables, panel schedules, and block text.

Computer Vision for Object Detection & Classification

Our computer vision models, trained on tens of thousands of industry-specific drawings, identify and classify key elements directly on the sheets, including mechanical equipment, electrical panels, VAV boxes, diffusers, sensors, symbols, callouts, keynotes, and conduit or piping components. This domain-focused training enables the system to recognize specialized engineering symbols rather than generic shapes.

LLM Reasoning on Technical Relationships

Once text and objects are extracted, our fine-tuned Large Language Model cross-analyzes both structured and unstructured data to verify engineering rules and design consistency such as matching keynotes, checking VAV-diffuser sizing logic, validating mechanical-electrical equipment correlations, and aligning panel schedules with field devices and sheet annotations.

Why it Works

We’ve integrated OCR, computer vision, and LLM reasoning into a single pipeline.

The platform understands both text and geometry, performs rule-based and reasoning-based checks, recognizes symbols unique to M&E disciplines, and delivers validation with true engineering context.

The result is a highly accurate, automated drawing analysis that reduces review time and helps prevent costly manual errors.

Built by Experts With 50+ Years of Combined Experience in AI

Our multidisciplinary team has spent decades at the forefront of AI, spanning deep learning, computer vision, and natural language understanding.

With our combined experience, we’ve applied best-in-class research and industry methodologies to build a system that meets the precision and reliability standards required in engineering workflows.

At Redmark, we’ve built an AI pipeline that understands mechanical and electrical drawings the way engineers do. With custom OCR, domain-trained computer vision, and LLM reasoning, we automate some of the tedious QA tasks that slow teams down. Our goal is simple: to free engineers to concentrate on high-value design decisions instead of manual QA.
